Happy New Year Family!
We wanted to drop by after a few days of relatively no activity on the web, to let you know that we are excited about this year and all that God is going to do in the lives of His children!
We have had precious times with dear friends in prayer and worship, with fun and laughter, full bellies and fuller hearts. And as we move back into the routine of daily living, our hearts turn to one scripture for the year of 2017.
1 Thessalonians 4 (paraphrased verses, emphasis ours)
Finally then, brothers, we ask and encourage you in the Lord Jesus, that as you have received from us how you must walk and please God—as you are doing do so even more. For you know what commands we gave you through the Lord Jesus...we encourage you, brothers, to do so even more, to seek to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands...
2016 was a year of great blessings. Triumphs seemed to outweigh trials, and we walked out with our family healthily and happily intact. Though it was not without its struggles, the Lord was victorious in our lives, and we are confident that 2017 holds more of His best for each and every one of us.
We are compelled to work harder and smarter on behalf of this community this year. We have known for the better part of a decade that family ministry was what God had called us to, and as our littlest is not quite so little anymore, we see that coming full circle with the genesis of this community. It is with anticipation that we seek God for the right tools and resources to benefit you, your marriages and your families!
As we seek God to know what work He would have us to do, how to live a quiet life in a manner that would please Him, serve His people, and fulfill the commission He has given, we are strengthened knowing that you are with us.
Are you seeking God for your family's purpose this year? What scripture has Holy Spirt spoken into your heart? How are you asking God in this first month to lead and direct you for 2017? Are you allowing Him to be the lamp unto your feet and light to your path? Have you written down the vision? Is it centered around the perfect words of our Lord? Take some time this very evening to begin if you have not yet done so. We can assure you, because of His faithful promises, that He will be there to meet you, lead you, guide you. We are praying for you and your family that 2017 is made better by taking these simple, faithful actions.
All our best to you!
